“Zhu Quan æœ±æ¬Š (1378 - 1448), a prince of the Ming Dynasty who lived during the early Ming Dynasty, was the author-compiler of Shenqi Mipu [Fantastic and Mysterious Scores] ã€Šç¥žå¥‡ç§˜èœã€‹ (1425), the earliest extant collection of qin music. The book contains 63 qin works as well as notes on them and historical sketches. Indeed, many of the 150 extant compilations contain more than just music scores. Included in them are also articles on fingering, instrumental structure as well as aesthetics.”  (Chan Hing Yan)
